Biography
Jeremy is a final-year MD student at The University of Queensland, having previously completed a BSc majoring in computer and biomedical sciences. He is deeply passionate about the intersection of health, policy, business, and technology, and the potential of digital health in reducing health inequity.
Alongside his studies, Jeremy founded The VacSeen Project, a Queensland-wide charity which operates several medical initiatives supporting those disengaged from traditional healthcare models. For this work, he was named 2022 Brisbane Young Citizen of the Year and was a 2023 Young Australian of the Year finalist.
He has also worked for the Grattan Institute, a leading Australian think-tank, and with the Australian Digital Health CRC. He currently sits on the board of the Australian Youth Affairs Coalition, the peak body for young people in Australia.
Jeremy is an elite-level mountain/trail runner, having twice represented Australia at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships.
