Grant GianGrasso

Biography

Grant J. GianGrasso, Buffalo, graduated from the University of Virginia in 2023 with a B.A. in Human Biology and French and where he is currently completing a Master’s in Public Health. He conducts infectious disease research on genetic determinants of the illness cryptosporidiosis, volunteers as a firefighter and EMT in Charlottesville, and founded The Virginia Medical Review student science publication. At UVA, Grant is a Jefferson Scholar honoring his leadership, scholarship, and citizenship. He is lead trumpeter of the UVA Jazz Ensemble and an active stand-up comedian. At Oxford, Grant will continue his medical research.
