Diana Adamo

Biography

Diana was originally raised in the Toronto area, but now calls Halifax and Dartmouth home. She has just completed a BSc in Medical Sciences with a minor in Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. Diana is particularly interested in researching neurodevelopmental disorders and social determinants of health. She has previously done research on Manduca sexta-Cotesia congregata parasitic behavioural manipulations in the lab of Dr. Shelley Adamo (no relation), where she studied if neuroinflammation may be a mechanism of behavioural control. Now, she is turning toward more clinically-relevant research. During her DPhil, she will use stem cells to investigate how immune factors may contribute to Alzheimer's disease. In her spare time, Diana enjoys reading, watching movies, and baking.
