Cole Mason

Biography

Cole Mason is a senior at Williams College studying Environmental Studies and Political Science. He works as a researcher in the Wylie Environmental Data Justice Lab (WEDJ) with a focus on the social and political implications of oil and gas technologies. With WEDJ, he has published articles in the Journal of Environmental Management, and his independent work is published in the Williams Undergraduate Research Journal. Cole’s current research examines the entanglement of ski tourism and hydraulic fracturing in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley. His public service work includes interning in US Congressman Joe Neguse’s office and at NGO Sustainability Inc., a nonprofit organization in consultative status with the United Nations. At Williams, he is a student liaison to the Political Science Department, a captain of the swim and dive team, and has led his a cappella choir as both a president and business manager. Cole is Phi Beta Kappa and has been awarded New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Academic All-American, All-Conference and All-Sportsmanship honors.
