Benjamin Chang

Biography

Benjamin Chang, Irvine, is a senior at Harvard University, where he double majors in Chemical and Physical Biology and Computer Science. Benjamin has pursued research to develop gene circuits for mammalian synthetic biology at Harvard and MIT, and founded OpenBio, a student-run laboratory focused on making biological research more accessible. He was a director at the Y2Y Youth Homeless Shelter in Cambridge, led the Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Association, and was an organizer on the 2020 Biden campaign. At Oxford, he will study computational statistics to advance machine learning for synthetic biology.
