Tahri Phillips

Biography

Tahri Phillips is currently a senior at Washington and Lee University (W&L), where she is double majoring in English and Cognitive and Behavioral Science with a minor in Africana Studies. She is deeply involved in admissions and student affairs at W&L. She is also a captain of the varsity women’s basketball team. Phillips has served as a research assistant in a cognitive and behavioral science research lab and is a student co-facilitator for W&L’s First-Year Experience course. At home in Pennsylvania, she coaches for an AAU basketball program and volunteers for a youth leadership program and her church. She hopes to utilize her interests and skills to advocate for marginalized and underprivileged students and transform educational spaces into more equitable and inclusive ones.
