Sophie Huttner

Biography

Sophie Huttner graduated Summa Cum Laude in Global Affairs at Yale, where much of her academic work and service activity focused on issues of gender, violence, and forced migration, with a concentration on Latin America. She was active in community service, serving as president of the Yale Interpretation Network, one of Yale's largest student service groups. At Oxford, she completed a Master in Public Policy and a Master of Science in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, receiving distinction in both degrees and, in the latter, a prize for highest performance in the degree. She has worked as a consultant for the State Department on Migration and Human Rights in Bogotá, Colombia, and as a researcher for the Oxford Refugee Studies Centre. She is also involved in philanthropy, having started the Nashville office for the GreenLight Fund, and now serving in the Office of the CEO. In her free time, Huttner enjoys learning languages, teaching, travel, and playing guitar.
