Biography

Sai Campbell was born in Thailand and studied at the Australian National University as a CAS Hawker and National University Scholar. She graduated from a Bachelor of Philosophy (Science) with First Class Honours and the Tillyard Prize. She has pursued research projects at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, WEHI, the Weizmann Institute, and the John Curtin School of Medical Research. Sai holds appointments in academia and federal government, looking at problems of infectious disease epidemiology and public health. She intends to study epidemiology at Oxford and return to her roots to address pressing issues in health security and inequality. Sai is deeply committed to increasing the accessibility of tertiary education, particularly for low-income students, and conducted research for the ANU to inform policy and practice. In her spare time, she likes running in the bush with her friends and reading.
