Rayene Bouzitoun

Biography

Rayene Bouzitoun holds a Licentiate in Law (LLL) and an Honours BSocSc in International Development and Globalization from the University of Ottawa where she studied as a 2018 McCall McBain Loran Scholar. Rayene served as an inaugural member of the Prime Minister’s Youth Council in Canada. She worked alongside youth in Northern Ethiopia to improve women’s and children’s health and rights as part of the Born on Time program. Most recently, Rayene served as a program officer for the North African Policy Initiative where she worked on advancing the advocacy capacity of North African youth. She has been involved for many years in her community of Saint-Michel, namely with the Forum Jeunesse de Saint-Michel and, more recently, with the Saint-Michel Legal Clinic. Rayene intends to pursue a Magister of Jurisprudence (MJur) at Oxford.
