Matthew Kearney

Biography

Matt Kearney is graduating Senior at MIT where he studies Computer Science and Philosophy, focusing on the interdisciplinary field of AI ethics. His research includes work in machine learning model interpretability, AI for climate science, and ethical research practices in the field of AI. Known as an occasional and spontaneous late-night pancake chef, at Oxford, Matt hopes through bribes of yummy food to get to know a myriad of different people passionate about global issues. When he's not researching or meeting strangers, Matt is an avid runner, a prolific shower singer, and a fond tree-hugger that's a little too clingy. Matt is looking forward to meeting the other Rhodes Scholars and hopes that they're hungry!
