Biography
Before attending Oxford, Marcus completed a BA in Psychology and Computer Science at Harvard University, and at Oxford, he has pursued two MSc degrees in Neuroscience and Evidence-Based Social Intervention & Policy Evaluation before advancing towards doctoral studies.
Fundamentally, he is passionate about utilising a rigorous empirical understanding of human social cognition in creating policies that can guide people toward better decision-making. Marcus’ research involves combining computational cognitive modelling with machine learning methods to produce an understanding of human behaviour precisely enough to predict and inform the impact of policy interventions.
