Maeve Collins Tobin

Biography

Maeve Collins-Tobin is from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, where she grew up immersed in the province’s beautiful natural landscape and in the traditional music she plays with family. Maeve has sung in a choir since age 7, fostering her love of music and community involvement. Maeve is an avid climate activist, most recently as an Executive of Climate Action Carleton, contributing to their successful fossil fuel divestment campaign, and through her advocacy work with the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. Maeve holds a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management (specializing in International Relations and Conflict) from Carleton University. Maeve is passionate about public policy and has enjoyed her work experience in governance as a Parliamentary Page, in the House of Commons Administration, with Global Affairs Canada and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. In future, Maeve hopes to work supporting informed and just policymaking.
