Gloria Charité

Biography

Gloria Charite is a DPhil candidate in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford. She is the first doctoral student at the newly launched Oxford Centre for Global Epilepsy. Her research examines the management and lived experiences of epilepsy in Rwanda as well as how psychological trauma shapes the trajectory of the condition. Prior to the DPhil, Gloria completed an MSc by Research in the Department of Experimental Psychology, where she examined the physiological correlates of memory processes.

Before Oxford, Gloria earned a BA (Hons) in Psychology from Columbia University. There, her academic achievements include winning the Columbia Business School Undergraduate Fellowship, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and becoming a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, America’s most prestigious academic honours society.
