Biography

Calm, reflective, confident and lively, Geofrey graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry. He is deeply interested in inorganic chemistry, particularly in harnessing chemical synthesis to drive down cost and increase the scale of renewable energy technologies. Geofrey is passionate about Chemistry research directed towards democratising access to light-harvesting reactions for renewable energy such as wind and solar through the discovery and synthesis of earth-abundant, cheaper alternatives for these technologies, and for other applications. At Oxford, Geofrey hopes to further his interests in the processes involved in commercialising scientific research by tapping into the thriving spin-out ecosystem at the university. Additionally, Geofrey plans to continue exploring his interests as a keen footballer, guitar player and life-long learner.
