Daksh is a final year Master’s student of Economics at Ashoka University, having studied economics and philosophy in his undergraduate studies. He believes that work is intrinsic to human lives, which motivates him to study labour economics, particularly the determinants of female labour force participation in India and the changing nature of work due to artificial intelligence. He believes that the language of economics is very powerful in understanding climate change, and looks forward to studying climate economics at Oxford with the hope of creating interventions that help tackle the climate crisis. Daksh hopes to continue working on economic research at Oxford, while also pursuing his passion for studying justice and the social production of knowledge.
