Biography

Amisha Kambath, a resident of California's Bay Area, is a recent graduate of Harvard College where she majored in Social Studies with a focus on the Economic Development and the Criminal Legal System. On campus, Amisha was interested in creating pathways for undergraduate public service opportunities, Chairing the Institute of Politics' Policy Program and serving on the Mindich Program in Engaged Scholarship's Student Advisory Committee. Amisha is broadly interested in the criminal legal system – and her focus on violence led her to grapple seriously with the socio-ecological conditions of the neighborhoods in which violence occurs. Her focus has thus expanded to the institutions, such as labor markets, that construct and shape opportunity in neighborhoods that have faced historic disinvestment. With plans to attend law school in the future, at Oxford Amisha plans to conduct a deep dive into the moral and political philosophies that ground the normative foundations of labor law and economic policy.
