Akudziwe Mawere

Biography

Junior medical doctor, graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand. In her free time, she plays guitar, ukulele, and piano. In addition to working part-time as an academic tutor, she also previously served on the board of the Wits Students Surgical Society and Wits Friends of MSF Society. Her career ambition is to become a professor of neurosurgery, and she plans to pursue research in paediatric neurosurgery at Oxford University. Ultimately aims to become a well-respected medical academic like Harvey Cushing (father of neurosurgery).
