Uljad Berdica

Biography

Uljad is an Albanian national majoring in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from NYU Abu Dhabi. He is devoted to developing software tools that make scientific research more accessible and efficient. Uljad is also working on technologies to ensure safer work for laborers in extreme weather. His senior thesis is on statistical attack of state-of-the-art encryption systems to strengthen security against nefarious intentions. Uljad hopes to pursue a DPhil in Engineering Sciences at Oxford to further his interdisciplinary engineering endeavors. Uljad is an avid long-distance runner and stand-up comedian with multiple performance credits in English and Albanian. He is interested in exploring humor as a tool to deconstruct complex ideas and explain different perspectives by bringing people together through shared human experiences.
