Rawletta Barrow

Biography

Rawletta is a law student currently pursuing the Bachelor of Laws programme at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. She has held the CSEC Regional Humanities Award and the Government of Guyana Presidential Scholarship Award. At her university, she has worked as a research assistant, investigating issues such as the human rights impact of COVID-19. As an alumna of the US Department of State's Youth Ambassadors Program, Rawletta has executed several projects, such as Project Jumpstart – a career mentorship program that has since reached over 200 Guyanese youth. At Oxford, Rawletta hopes to engage critically and innovatively with the law. She intends to combine her passions for law and youth work and to explore the role that law can serve in facilitating her goal of youth development
