Jabez Magomere

Biography

Jabez is a Software Engineer currently working at Twiga Foods building applications to solve the problem of food security across Africa. He is passionate about leveraging Artificial Intelligence to address systemic inequalities in education. Jabez graduated from Strathmore University with first-class honours in Informatics and Computer Science. He received the Dean's Award for Best Overall Student in his faculty. Jabez served as the Secretary-General of the Strathmore Debate Society where he represented the society in over 17 local and global debate tournaments. Jabez is an active developer community contributor where he enjoys hosting developer conferences and participating in hackathons. While not coding or debating, Jabez is an elite runner and runs ultra-marathons for social impact. At Oxford, Jabez hopes to pursue an MSc in Advanced Computer Science and another in Social Data Science to explore AI approaches to personalized learning.
