Biography
Vijayasundaram Ramasamy graduated in three years from Johns Hopkins University in 2018 with a major in Public Health Studies. Upon graduation, Vijay spent a year working on healthcare disparities and the opioid epidemic at the Baltimore City Health Department and is currently Policy and Budget Advisor in the Office of Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, with responsibilities for the State's COVID-19 re-opening plan, fiscal policy, and education policy. While at Johns Hopkins he was an active volunteer in healthcare and social services in Baltimore. He was also co-President of the University Hindu Students Council, worked as a research and teaching assistant in public health, and has been very active in political campaigns. Dedicated to a career in public service, Vijay plans to study public and social policy at Oxford.
