Biography
Suchintan studies History at St. Stephen's College, Delhi. He is a founding-member of the Sankrityayan Kosambi Study Circle, a student-run collective that aims to promote critical thought and interdisciplinary studies. He also serves as the General Secretary of the History Society of St. Stephen's College. Suchintan has authored research-papers on diverse historical themes and has been involved in several oral history and translation projects. His long-term research interests revolve around the rubrics of displacement, migration, identities, and nationalisms. At Oxford, he intends to study the phenomenon of civilian and military internment in India during the Second World War. Beyond academics, Suchintan writes occasional political commentary, advocates students' rights, and is passionate about Tagorean theatre. When he is not working, Suchintan enjoys playing cricket, chess, and music from Mohiner Ghoraguli.
