Biography
Nkaziewoh Nchinda-Pungong is a Harvard senior studying Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Sociology. He is passionate about using engineering to increase access to healthcare and has worked extensively on global health projects. In addition to developing a digital record system for free dental clinics in Costa Rica, he has worked with Engineers Without Borders on infrastructure projects in Tanzania, Kenya, and the Dominican Republic. Nkazi's senior thesis focuses on microbiology, using high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics to simplify the process of discovering novel bacteria. On campus, he also serves as the Editor-in-Chief for a research magazine, the co-president of a humanist student organization, and a teaching assistant for an introductory bioengineering course. In his free time, he enjoys architecture photography.
