Biography
Natali is an engineering master's student at Stellenbosch University, where she also graduated with a BEng (with Honours) in Chemical Engineering (cum laude). She strongly believes in the value of interdisciplinary research, which she discovered during her honour's project collaboration with microbiology and health sciences. Her current research focuses on improving the interpretability of causality maps for fault identification in chemical and mineral processing plants. She chose this project to gain expertise in data-learning techniques, which she hopes to apply to biomedical engineering. At Oxford, Natali is hoping to conduct research on the modelling of cerebral blood flow and metabolism.
