Biography
Liana Wang, Houston, is dedicated to defending civil rights and workers' rights. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School while providing over 1,000 hours of pro bono service. During law school, she worked for the ACLU, Public Citizen, and as a student attorney advocating for the rights of immigrants, workers, and consumers. After law school, Liana will serve as a judicial law clerk on the California Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. At Oxford, Liana conducted research on redistribution, underpaid labor, and economic inequality and graduated with an M.Phil in Political Theory, with distinction. She also worked at Hamblin Bread, a magical sourdough bakery in East Oxford. Prior to Oxford, Liana received a B.A. in Economics from Yale University, where she was also a Human Rights Scholar and an award-winning columnist for the Yale Daily News.
