Biography
Brendan Loon will graduate in 2020 with a B.A. (Honours) in English Literature from the National University of Singapore. He hopes to hone, and harness as a force for good, his academic interest in critical theory at the University of Oxford. Impassioned about education, Brendan will join Singapore's Ministry of Education upon graduation, having received a Public Service Commission (Teaching Service) Scholarship. As Co-Founder and Deputy President (External), he leads Advisory (www.advisory.sg)—a non-profit that empowers Singapore's youth to make informed decisions about their futures. In The Boys' Brigade in Singapore, Brendan develops nearly 200 primary school Boys as Captain of the largest Company, 33J; and serves nationally as a Committee Member of both the Local Development and Juniors Programme Committees.
