Biography
Mattea Mrkusic is a climate policy expert and campaigner focused on phasing out fossil fuels. She currently serves as a global LNG policy and diplomacy consultant at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). She previously worked at Evergreen Action, where she led the climate organization’s energy transition policy portfolio. Mattea has held positions at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Refugees International, and Years of Living Dangerously, an Emmy Award-winning documentary series on climate change.
Mattea holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) and a Master of Science in Refugee Studies from the University of Oxford. She earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Environmental Studies and Human Rights from Harvard University.
