Laura Klüner

Biography

Laura Klüner is a medical doctor and physicist currently completing her residency in radiology. She obtained her DPhil in Medical Sciences from the University of Oxford, where her research focused on developing AI-based CT imaging biomarkers for cardiovascular risk prediction. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned a BSc in Physics from Ruhr University Bochum and completed her medical degree alongside an MSc in Medical Physics. Her work is grounded in a multidisciplinary background spanning medicine, physics, and computer science. She is particularly interested in identifying novel research applications in medical imaging and in translating innovative methods into clinical practice through interdisciplinary collaboration. Clinically, she has a strong interest in interventional neuroradiology. Beyond her academic and clinical work, Laura is an accomplished pianist and serves on the board of the Association of German Rhodes Scholars, where she supports initiatives connecting current scholars and alumni.
