Biography
Kristina M. Correa is a senior at Stanford where she majors in biology and minors in computer science. She is the daughter of Mexican immigrants and was raised by a single mother. She has never received a grade below an A across her demanding undergraduate and graduate courses. She has done extensive research in four different laboratories, and her senior thesis relates to cellular glycans and cancer. Kristina has been an active volunteer working with children whose parents have cancer and as a tutor for low income and/or minority students. She plans a career in computational immunology and is committed to Latino empowerment in the sciences.
