Kieran Brown

Biography

Kieran is a researcher and lecturer at the University of Oxford, working primarily on literature and economics (in the so-called 'Economic Humanities'). He has published widely on literature, economy and critical theory in peer reviewed journals and has a forthcoming edited collection, entitled Inflationary Modernities, with Palgrave Macmillan. In his spare time, he consults on economic development, green energy and industrialisation. He received his DPhil (PhD) in English from Hertford College, Oxford, in November 2024, and is currently working on turning his dissertation on Walter Benjamin's economic writings into a monograph. Kieran lectures at Somerville College, Oxford.
