Julia Hampton

Biography

Julia Hampton completed her MPhil and DPhil in International Development at Oxford, and now works as a Delivery Lead for the Project Management Office of the Presidency in South Africa. Her DPhil thesis explored the history and politics of labour market interventions in South Africa, and her MPhil thesis explored the politics of financialisation and Sovereign Credit Ratings downgrades to "junk status" in post apartheid South Africa. At the intersection of research, policy, and implementation, in her current role Julia focusses on addressing unemployment and spatial inequality among other issues.
