Biography
Itai Muzhingi graduated from Amherst College with a BA in Biochemistry and Biophysics. At Amherst, he conducted Cholera research and got published in the Journal of Bacteriology. He is currently doing HIV vaccine development projects at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard. At Oxford, he intends to pursue a biomedical research program. Thereafter, he hopes to get a medical degree and use both his clinical and biomedical research skills to contribute towards developing treatments for infectious diseases, especially those that continue to plague Sub-Saharan Africa. Apart from science, Itai is passionate about providing education access to children who come from vulnerable backgrounds in Zimbabwe. During his free time, he enjoys playing the ukulele/guitar and hiking out in nature with friends.
