Biography
Brian is passionate about increasing global electricity access through renewable energy. Pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney, Brian is completing his Honours research in the area of ocean current energy. The results of his work have been published and presented at an international conference. Alongside his studies Brian co-founded a social enterprise, was a two-term Co-President of Engineers Without Borders USYD and Co-Chair of the Sydney University Student Leadership Academy. Brian completed an internship with The Asian Development Bank and has previously worked with a number of engineering and innovation consulting firms. He is a New Colombo Plan Scholar (Singapore) and recipient of the BHP Billiton Sustainable Communities Award. Brian is a long-distance runner and trekking enthusiast.
