Biography
Annette Riziki is a graduate of the University of Manitoba. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Annette was raised in Uganda and found a third home in Canada. She has always yearned to approach erudition from a humanitarian lens when trying to understand the outcomes of resettlement. Her experience with the realities of immigration motivates her work as a research assistant and involvement with several immigrant organisations. In these organisations, she focuses on the recurring issues faced by immigrants, particularly refugees. She also plans projects that facilitate newcomer youth adjustment in schools, work, and Canada. At Oxford, Annette intends to pursue studies with a focus on the resilience of refugees.
