Biography
Mary Clare Beytagh, Dallas, is a senior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she has dual majors in biology and literature. Her GPA is 5.0 (on a 5.0 scale). She is already an accomplished cancer researcher at MIT and The Rockefeller University and has presented at the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting. Mary Clare has been a leader of a student group that mentors disadvantaged youth and is a teaching assistant in mathematics. She is also a ballerina with more than fifteen years of experience, having trained at the Dallas Metropolitan Ballet and at American Ballet Theatre. She aspires to a career as an oncologist, cancer scientist, and writer.
