Damian Maher

Biography

Damian graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Literature. Damian is interested in looking at forgiveness in modern writing, and how narratives represent communities that respect member's differences, yet establish a commonality. Damian is passionate about the civic role literature and the moral imagination can and should play in the public sphere. During his undergraduate studies, Damian has volunteered in a variety of areas including education, mentoring, and cultural projects throughout Brisbane. Damian is about to spend several months hiking the Te Araroa Trail in New Zealand.
