Saul Musker completed his BA (cum laude) at the University of the Witwatersrand. His Honours thesis focused on regional migration in Southern Africa, and the experiences of migrants and asylum-seekers in inner city Johannesburg. In 2016 he co-authored a book on the limits of liberal constitutionalism in South Africa with Professor Stuart Woolman of the University of the Witwatersrand and Columbia University Law Schools. He is a columnist at The Daily Maverick, a South African news and analysis publication, and his first novel, No Word Like Home, was shortlisted for the 2016 Dinaane Award for Debut Fiction. In his spare time, Saul is a debater, a compulsive reader of fiction, a long-distance swimmer and a triathlete.
