Biography
Angela is a CIHR-funded graduate student in Biology at McGill, where she studies DNA replication and previously completed a BSc. in Biology and Women's Studies, graduating top of her WMST class. As Equity and Diversity Commissioner of the Post-Graduate Students' Society, Angela works with students and administration on support for racialized students, equity in STEMM, and sexual violence on campus. She is also an executive member of Scientista McGill, which aims to support pre-professional women in STEM. With interests in the social values of science, Angela hopes to develop life sciences curriculum that explores the intersecting roles of race, gender, sexuality, class and ability in contemporary scientific research and medical practices.
