Biography
Tonny is a finalist at the University of Nairobi, expecting to graduate with a distinction. At the university he has served as the Chairperson for the Nairobi University Nursing Students Association as well as the class representative. He has taken part and organized many medical camps and outreaches in the various city slums in Nairobi. Tonny is an ambassador for the alleviation of Non Communicable Diseases and has a goal of creating awareness and help fight these diseases in the community.
He is part of the Kenya Heart and Sole Afya Njema Project; a collaboration of various nursing schools in Kenya and the University of Massachusetts, Boston researching on cardiovascular diseases among various communities. Tonny was awarded the outstanding student and best midwifery student award 2015 by the National Nurses Association of Kenya. He is also a mentor and volunteer at the St Mary's Street Children Rehabilitation Centre back in his home town.
