Biography
Matthew completed a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications), majoring in Mandarin Chinese and Media and Communications, and a Diploma in Modern Languages in French at the University of Melbourne. During his undergraduate degree, Matthew spent six months studying at Université Jean Moulin in Lyon, France. He is currently completing a Juris Doctor at Melbourne Law School. In 2011, Matthew co-founded the TEDxUniMelb student organisation. He received the Melbourne Press Club award for Student Journalism in 2012, and was elected President of the Melbourne University Law Students' Society in 2014/15. Matthew has advocated for change in the treatment and perception of persons with spinal cord injuries in Australia. He is passionate about achieving social change at a systemic level.
