Biography
Sonali is an economics graduate from Miranda House, where she won several awards for academic excellence and is currently on The Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University. She has undertaken research on delivering affordable maternal healthcare through competitive voucher programs, street vending in the urban economy and on Dalit mutual aid societies in India. An accomplished debater, she served as Vice President of Miranda House Debating Society and has been adjudged Best Speaker in numerous national competitions, including at the Reserve Bank of India and British Council (India). Sonali conducts public speaking workshops for underprivileged school children and also enjoys endurance running and poetry. At Oxford, she intends to examine the implications of international economic integration for developing countries.
