Biography
Emily completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours and the university medal in law at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Emily participated in several mooting competitions, and won Best Oralist at the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. After graduation, Emily worked as an Associate to Chief Justice French AC at the High Court of Australia. She has a strong commitment to social justice and in particular Indigenous land rights and development. Emily tutored disadvantaged and Indigenous students struggling with high school and university studies, and volunteered at a law firm specialising in Indigenous land rights. She is also passionate about tackling the stigma surrounding mental illness, and is a National Committee Member of the Tristan Jepson Memorial Foundation.
