Biography
Alexander recently completed Honours at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health as a Frances Elizabeth Thomson Scholar, where he researched Autism Spectrum Disorder and social communication. He moved from regional Victoria to live at Newman College, where he was elected President in his third year. Alexander previously completed a Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) and a Diploma in Languages (Spanish) as a Kwong Lee Dow Scholar, and spent a semester abroad at the University of St Andrews (UK). He is a keen advocate for various environmental and social causes. His interests include: languages, theatre, politics, environmental conservation, rowing, and swimming. He hopes to continue researching Autism and associated conditions. Alexander wishes to inspire a renaissance of science education in Australia upon his return from Oxford.
