Chloe Walker

Biography

Chloe is an educator, researcher, and higher education professional with over 14 years of experience spanning teaching, learning design, and academic administration. She holds a Bachelor's in Literary and African Studies from the University of Toronto, an MPhil in Linguistics from the University of the West Indies (UWI), and an MSc in African Studies and a DPhil in Education from the University of Oxford. She also earned a Postgraduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning from the UWI and is a certified member of the Association of Learning Technology (CMALT). Chloe has built her career at the intersection of pedagogy, research, and student success, working across the UK, the Caribbean, and beyond.

Currently Deputy Registrar for Scholar Affairs at the Rhodes Trust, Chloe supports Rhodes Scholars through every stage of their Oxford journey. Prior to this, she served as a Digital Education Consultant at the University of Oxford, advising on AI in education and learning design projects across departments, and as Subject Lead for Communication Skills on Oxford's Astrophoria Foundation Year programme. She has also held positions as a Research Fellow, Teaching Fellow, and Lecturer at the UWI, where she led research teams, mentored postgraduate students, and coordinated academic literacy programmes.

She also enjoys working on a passion project, Extra Credit Education, which supports Caribbean students in preparing for high-stakes examinations and overall academic development.

Chloe is an award-winning amateur poet.
