Biography
I am a sociologist working on questions around migration, race, ethnicity, diaspora, and emotion. I am particularly interested in how migration processes and immigrant identity intersect with projected futures and imagined pasts, and in the role of emotions in producing identities. I received a PhD in Sociology from Columbia University in 2026, an M.Phil in Sociology and Demography from Oxford University in 2016, and a B.A. in Social Research and Public Policy from NYU Abu Dhabi in 2014..
