Biography
Aliyyah graduated with high distinction in Political Science and Sociology in 2012. After graduating she embarked on a twelve-month internship with the Bermuda Government Cabinet Office. She was subsequently hired as a Consultant for the Human Rights Commission and presently works at the Office of the Ombudsman - an organisation which investigates complaints about the administrative actions of Public Authorities. She serves as a board member for Bermuda's Emerging Professionals, the Youth Division of the Chamber of Commerce, organising events focusing on professional development. Aliyyah is passionate about debating, having represented Bermuda at international tournaments, and presently serves on the board of the Bermuda Debate Society. It is Aliyyah's interests in human rights, immigration and public policy that have encouraged her to pursue law and to use this training for the benefit of Bermuda.
