Biography

Alice completes her Conjoint BA, specialising in Economics and Philosophy, and Law degree this year. During the course of her studies Alice won the Sir Alexander Johnstone Scholarship, the New Zealand Law Review Prize and the AG Davis Scholarship, amongst others. She also won the BCG Scholarship, awarded to one man and one woman annually, across Australia and New Zealand, for exceptional ability in academia, leadership and critical thinking. Whilst completing her studies she works for Meredith Connell as a Law Clerk and as a Research Assistant for the Center for Applied Research in Economics. She serves on the University of Auckland Council and is a member of the Young Leaders Network Advisory Group for the Asia New Zealand Foundation. Alice is an accomplished pianist, composes and teaches music and also plays the oboe, viola and trombone. Alice plays indoor netball and tennis on a competitive and social basis, runs and tramps for leisure. In the long-term, Alice wishes to pursue a career in public policy, focusing on social and education as a catalyst for economic and social development.
