Biography

Roopa currently runs Center10 Consulting, which she founded in 2012. Roopa's role at her firm, Center10 Consulting, had her working on critical Innovation and strategy mandates with a diverse range of global clients including Johnson & Johnson, Harman, Estee Lauder Companies Inc., New York Presbyterian Hospitals, StructureTone, Kaplan and Haemonetics. Most recently she was Chief Strategy Officer at Vontier, a $3B mobility and smart city company (2021-2022) and Harman International, a $8B automotive supplier (2016 - 2021). She started her US career with seven years in consulting at Katzenbach Partners LLC (KPL), a New York consultancy where she was part of the early start-up team (1999-2006). Roopa progressed to be Practice Lead, Outsourcing, specializing in issues dealing with strategy development and managing people and innovative technology. Her financial services experience covers credit cards and asset management, as the strategy director at one of Citibank's CitiCards (2006 -2007), and in her time as HR lead at BlackRock, responsible for strategic projects in the sales and marketing divisions (2012). Roopa was with Pfizer Inc. (2007 - 12), as Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Innovation. Roopa completed both an MBA and MPhil in Economic and Social History at the University of Oxford, Unnikrishnan also has a varied extracurricular life, being both a published poet and a world-class athlete in sports riflery. Roopa received the President’s National Award (Arjuna Award) in India. Roopa is a published author, with her book The Career Catapult winning the independent press award in career books. She has had significant non-profit board and trustee experience. Roopa lives in NYC with her husband Sree and their dog Tara - the kids, Durga and Krishna have flown the coop!
