Biography

I am an experienced non-profit chief executive, with considerable experience in programme innovation, stakeholder and partnership development, fundraising, and a proven track record in change management. I bring strong strategic, critical-thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills, and build high-performing teams of experts to achieve big goals. I am always focused on both the big picture and the bottom line. I have worked across multiple areas, including diversity and inclusion, education and future of work, innovation and design thinking, and business-community and cross-cultural partnerships, working for and with corporates, non-profits, tertiary organisations and government agencies. I am a former McKinsey & Company consultant, lawyer specialising in indigenous issues, and New Zealand Rhodes Scholar. I have served on many boards including Z Energy (a NZX listed company), the NZ Qualifications Authority and Teach First NZ. I have led or helped establish a number of organisations including 21C Skills Lab, the Springboard Trust, Starpath, NZ Centre for Social Innovation, Global Women, DiverseNZ, the Champions for Change, TupuToa: Māori and Pasifika Pathways, and the Well Foundation, and led on education for Social Ventures Australia.
