Andrew Burnett

Biography

It is early in 2023 and at 75 I look out on a world that has been very good to me. Caring parents, very happy schooldays on the sports field and in the classroom, the life changing experience of 3 years at Oxford, and 47 years in legal practice, specialising in employment law. I am fortunate to be married to Barbara and have been for 51 years. Life in Western Australia has been good to us and to our three children, and we enjoy watching our 6 grandchildren coming to terms with their worlds. Most recently I have completed a PhD in European History and the resulting manuscript was published in 2022. I now look forward to publicising the Rhodes Scholarships in Western Australia and helping with the annual selection process in my role as State Secretary (WA) for the Rhodes Scholarships in Australia.
